The Children are nestled all snug in their beds (and it is only 7:30 pm), and with only a week until Christmas, I thought I better get going on my Christmas Cards.
The year started out like any other, then we decided to take Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University Class. After two and a half weeks, we took our house off the market and became motivated to become debt free instead of buying a bigger house. His class changed our lives forever and we are happy to report that we are now still living in Lehi, and plan to be here for many years to come. I could go on and on about this subject, but I will leave it at that.
Dalan turned 4 this year and is growing at a much faster rate than his peers it seems. Weighing in at over 60 pounds (I only write that because his size has been the #1 topic of conversation about him since the day he was born) he is growing up so fast. He started preschool this year and is learning so much. He loves to play with his brother, take care of his sister, play with his friends, ride his scooter, play video and computer games, and sing with the Radio. He is full of questions and curiosity and loves to use his imagination.
Hunter turned 3 this year, and has mellowed out quite a bit. (I never thought I would say that). He still is the first child awake every day, and lets us know when it is time for him to go to bed at night. He started preschool with Dalan this year. He loves to spot letters where ever we go, and is convinced that the world revolves around him. He loves to color, paint, draw, run, ride his tricycle and scooter, jump, sing really loud, play with his friends, play with Dalan, and has recently learned to hug and love Ellie without making her cry. He was a breeze to potty train and seems to be good at everything he tries.
Ellie is now 16 months old and the Belle of the Ball. I know this sounds Cliché, but she is ALL GIRL. She loves to try on shoes, hug her brothers, be tickled by her Dad and spend the rest of the day being held by Mom. She loves to sing and dance to the radio and do silly things all day long to get us to laugh. She wants to choose her own clothes and she still has no hair, but loves me to brush it and blow dry it. She is busy, busy, busy and even mastered climbing out of the crib at 14 months old.
Doug keeps busy running the business and taking care of all of us. He loves to play basketball, watch basketball and talk about basketball. He continues to grow in his skills as a videographer, even winning several awards at the state level amongst his professional peers.
In order not to grow old, I started running 5K’s again and even did a triathlon in Catalina Island last month. Training for and doing it were very fulfilling, rewarding and FUN for me. I continue to grow in my love and knowledge of photography. It has been a dream come true to be able to add photography into my life, and so much fun to shoot alongside Doug and learn so much from him. I spend my days cleaning up after the kids and playing with them and helping them grow.
As a family we were able to visit Yellowstone during the summer and Southern California last month. We blog at Lifeatthelarsons.blogspot.com so feel free to drop in any time
We are above all grateful for rich family & friend relationships, deep feelings of love from our Heavenly Father, the opportunity to raise our children together, and for Him whose birth we celebrate.
May you have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
With Love… The Larsons
Hope you don't mind but, I am going to copy your idea--it is a great one! And Merry Christmas to you!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas guys,
ReplyDeletesounds like a fun year.
It is funny to me too that boys and girls really do act and like different things at such a young age. I used to think it required a little more coaxing on the parents end, but it really doesn't. merry christmas!
